ABOUT THE OUTFITTER
Alaska Remote Guide Service offers exceptional, professionally guided rifle hunts for brown bear, Dall sheep and moose as primary species; black bear, wolf, and wolverine also available as incidental (add-on) species. We hunt primarily in our sole use federal guide concession in Denali Preserve, but also on neighboring state land in Game management units 16B and 19C in the western Alaska Range.
A Message from Master Guide Wayne Kubat
Alaska Outfitter #147 & Pilot
"I’m a master guide and have been operating in this area since 1987 with good success and customer satisfaction. My current Denali Preserve Concession term runs through 2027. This is some really awesome country.. Let us show it to you.
I’ve lived in Alaska for 46 years, hunt and fish every chance I get, own my own Super Cub and have 6,000 plus hours of Alaska bush flying experience. Most of my guides are also long time Alaskans as well as close personal friends. I generally hire one or two guides besides myself, and take only two or three clients at a time and about 12 per year. Low volume affords me flexibility to personalize my hunts to match the client’s preferences, abilities and expectations.”
LODGING & TRAVEL
Most of our camps are accessed by bush aircraft but we also have hunt options that use light weight jet boats and rafts. In most cases, we pick you up and return you to Anchorage; one round-trip air charter and land use fees are included in the hunt price, which would otherwise cost hundreds (or even a few thousand) dollars more on some hunts.
THE BULL MAGNET®
We also market a fiber glass megaphone for moose calling, along with two instructional video guides focused on moose calling and hunting:

ABOUT THE HUNTS
Spring Brown Bear
Any serious and physically fit hunter looking for a truly memorable experience with an excellent chance to get a big bear is going to find this hunt hard to beat in caliber and price! I have been doing these spring brown bear hunts since 1987.
We target large males just as they are emerging from their dens, and while their hides are prime. Early spring snow depths accommodate excellent access by a Super Cub on skis to areas that are hard to reach otherwise. Tracks help a great deal in determining a bear's size and location and make it easier to retrieve wounded animals.
We've been hunting spring brown bears in this area since 1987 and do consistently well on large males in the 8'1/2" to 9' range with most skull sizes of 24" and up. Our largest was 9'10" with a 27 & 7/16" skull. We keep a detailed account of where and when bears and/or concentrated activity (feeding, tracks, trails, diggings, or dens) are seen. This extra effort is worth it to help you get your bear!
Fall Brown Bear
We offer some fantastic fall hunting for brown & grizzly bears. Most of our bear hunts take place in our "sole use" (I'm the only guide that can legally operate here) guide concession in Denali Preserve, near Mt. Denali.
Dall Sheep
We hunt in our "sole use" guide concession in Denali Preserve, near Mt. Denali. My concession area is about 600 plus square miles and includes prime dall sheep hunt areas that were off limits to guided non-resident sheep hunters for 20 years!!!
Alaskan Moose
Our standard moose hunts are 10 to 12 days in length and have a 1x1 guide to client ratio, but I also have one camp that works especially well for hunting 2 friends or family members together, each with their own hunting guide. Trophy fee options for brown/grizzly bear hunts are available with most moose hunts. An opportunity for a black bear hunt, wolf hunt, or wolverine hunt, may also be available.
